Summer Uke & Songwriting classes starting soon at Tacoma, Pierce & South Puget Sound

There's still a few spots open at Tacoma Community College (Gig Harbor campus) for Uke Level 1 and Uke Level 2, both starting July 18th   Uke 1 will get uke newbies up and running quickly playing notes and chords and ultimately playing familiar songs.  Uke 2 will get into fingerpicking the uke, chord strumming patterns and techniques and playing more challenging songs. Enrollment will continue thru July 16th for these summer sessions, so sign up soon @ tccce.com

Pierce College (Puyallup campus) is offering " "Yes, You Can Write A Song!" (intro to songwriting) starting July 23rd.  This 5 week class will cover the foundations of songwriting, including title and idea development, song structure, chord types and uses, how to come up with musical hooks, rhyming options and strategy, hit song analysis and more.  For enrollment info, go to the Pierce College website @pierce.ctc.edu

South Puget Sound Community College is offering "Yes, You Can Play The Ukulele!" beginning July 19th.  The 5 week class will get uke newcomers up and running on the instrument and playing notes and simple chords and eventually playing familiar songs.  For more info and to enroll, go to spscc.edu/cce
